'It is the life of the crystal, the architect of the flake, the fire of the frost, the soul of the sunbeam. This crisp winter air is full of it.' John Burroughs
Winter is a time when our appreciation of light is heightened, whether straining through cloudy skies or subtly highlighting the first fall of snow. Although there is less of it than in any other season it acquires a special beauty when the humble warmth of its shine accents predominantly cool, grey vistas. Winter is a distinctly Minimalux time of year, as conveyed by these shots taken in the flat horizontal landscape of rural Lincolnshire.
